La Ferme Piscicole des Bobines operates the largest rainbow trout farm in Quebec. Its processing plant is nestled in the peaceful countryside of East Hereford and is HACCP-approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. It is recognized as the only company in Quebec that processes rainbow trout directly on the farm; this ensures maximum freshness throughout the company's highly diverse production.

A family fish farm

Since 1980

Through their passion and determination, Normand Roy and Doris Brodeur founded the company and helped it grow into the success it is today. The two entrepreneurs collectively have over 30 years of extensive experience in the aquaculture industry.

Normand Roy was president of the Association des Aquaculteurs Du Québec (AAQ) for many years, and is currently president of the Table Filière De L'aquaculture En Eau Douce Du Québec (TFAEDQ), an organization dedicated to the marketing of trout in Quebec.

Doris Brodeur has a background in cooking and, with the help of her team, has developed creative dishes using trout from La Ferme Piscicole des Bobines.

Clément Roy, their son, joined the company in 2005 after graduating college with a degree in administration, along with a university degree in law.

Driven by common goals, the family does the utmost to offer Quebec consumers eco-responsible products that stand out for their taste, freshness and exceptional quality.

The enclosed pond system designed by La Ferme Piscicole des Bobines recycles and filters the water, thus creating a rearing environment that complies with the highest environmental standards.
